Morning Mist
Impressionism Trio 1
20*40cm | Silk Yarn | 2024
As an avid fan of impressionism, the artist once again reviewed paintings drawn by Claude Monet, especially the manuscripts of landscapes, which recorded the painter's impression of the environment in a short time rather than long-term projects.
The artist discussed the balance between the perception and the control of colour in embroidery. The morning mist is like the filter of what we see. In the hazy atmosphere, the colour saturation of the scenery is reduced, the layers of the images are pulled apart by the distance, varied but unified. Focused on the composition of colour, the work is more like an exploration and reflection of impressionism through the language of embroidery.
