As an art therapist, I realised that the meaningful transformation happens in an uncomfortable way frequently. The moments that truly matter come with conflict, tearing, and even collapse. Energy does not disappear when suppressed; it waits and accumulates. In the fissures of emotion, when the force that has been held down finally bursts open, that is not an end. That is a beginning.

Whether as a therapist or a client who has sat on the other side, the feeling of unease and the longing that live together inside us when conflict approaches. I would like to admit the fear and accept the gift at the same time, and review the tender state of being through textiles.

A still mirror at the heart of the vortex — at the meeting point of opposites, where danger and safety embrace, and movement is held by stillness.
